About

MakerSkill Spokane believes in transforming lives through skill training and creativity. Our organization empowers adult refugees and immigrants, including employment-authorized Pacific Islanders, such as Marshallese and Chuukese individuals, by providing hands-on training in in-demand technical and creative skills that prepare participants for real-world opportunities. By equipping participants with practical skills, we help individuals turn challenges into opportunities and goals into achievable futures. Through innovation, supportive instruction, and community partnership, we foster self-sufficiency, confidence, and economic mobility while creating pathways to a brighter future.

Refugees and immigrants bring resilience, creativity, and untapped potential—when given the right skills and opportunities, they don’t just rebuild their lives, they enrich communities and drive innovation.
